Our Executive Leadership
Greg Von Arx
Greg Von Arx, Chief Executive Officer, is experienced in all aspects of healthcare provider organizations and closely-held corporations, having demonstrated the ability to implement financial systems that take into consideration the intricacies of highly regulated industries. In his eight years as Chief Financial Officer with a large home care provider, Greg directed the consolidation of twelve acquisitions and oversaw the growth of the company from $15 million in revenue to over $200 million in revenue. Greg has more than 30 years of industry experience in the ownership and management of healthcare services providers. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Kara Von Arx
Kara Von Arx, Chief Operating Officer, has over 25 years of progressive management experience within complex healthcare organizations. Her operational experience includes multi-facility management in home health, long-term care, assisted living, and supplemental staffing. In her four years as Chief Operating Officer with a nationwide home care organization operating over 140 offices, Kara was responsible for overseeing fast-paced growth, improved regulatory compliance, and enhanced customer satisfaction. For ten years, Kara acted as the Administrator of four long-term care facilities and the Director of Marketing for 114 facilities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Nebraska. She has been a licensed Long-Term Care Administrator for over 30 years with a Master’s Degree in Human Services Planning and Administration from the University of Minnesota-Mankato.
Sue Reading, Compliance Officer, is an accomplished professional bringing over 25 years of leadership across the healthcare continuum, with particular expertise in long-term care, subacute care, and home care. Having served in roles such as Regional Consultant, Vice President of Operations, Chief Development Officer, Principal in a consulting firm, and President/Owner of a life coaching practice, she has successfully helped individuals and organizations translate their vision into policies and programs needed for success. Sue has extensive expertise in consulting services, program development, and performance improvement. Her background includes development and implementation of compliance programs including quality improvement processes and strategies designed to monitor fraud and abuse. Sue is known for her ability to perceive nuances, identify core issues, and facilitate alignment with diplomacy and integrity. She is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and a Registered Nurse.
Joe Christenson joined Recover Health in December 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. Joe has previously served in senior financial management and leadership roles in three companies working in the areas of home health care, medical devices, and manufacturing automation. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Olaf College and his MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and started his career working in commercial banking. Joe brings vast experience leading teams working on a broad range of financial, legal, technical, strategic and management issues. Upon joining Recover Health, Joe commented, “Recover Health is an extremely well-run organization, but more importantly, it places its commitment to provide outstanding patient service as the first priority."
Janet Fehler, Vice President of Operations, RN has parlayed many roles within the healthcare industry into her current position of VP of Operations. She brings over 25 years of experience ranging from being a PDN Nurse to a State Director. She has developed and implemented many items including policies and procedures, compliance with state and federal regulations, human resource management, financial administration and promotion of services.
Jan Daly, Director Therapy Services, has a clinical background that includes 20 years as the Director of ILS (Independent Living Services) and ten years as the Director of Home Care Therapy (Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy). Before this, Jan was the Supervisor of Occupational Therapy at Courage Center. Her treatment emphasis has been with clients who have Cognitive and Behavioral Health diagnoses. The last 20 years of service have been committed to the management of home care programs that support clients in living successfully in their homes and communities regardless of their diagnoses.
