How can we help?

At Recover Health, we can assist you with helping you gain knowledge on the benefits that you have and what you are eligible for, regarding your payment options.

Overview of the services payment options:

  1. Medicare – Short-term services necessary to recover from a medical problem through a home care agency. These can be delivered wherever you live, including an assisted living setting. Medicare does not usually cover assisted living costs for ongoing chronic needs. To be eligible for Medicare home health care, you must be homebound and meet other requirements.
  2. Medicaid – is a program that covers impoverished individuals’ health care costs. To qualify for Medicaid you must have limited income and assets. Federal policy requires states to examine your financial history for the previous five years to assure you have not transferred assets out of your name to avoid using them for health care costs.
  3. Insurance (including long-term care insurance) – is designed to cover people’s care and services needs as they age. It generally covers a variety of aging services including home care, nursing home costs, assisted living, and adult day care. Long-term care typically pays a daily rate to care providers. Because every policy is different, find out exactly what levels of care and services your potential insurers will cover and how far the policy’s payment cap might take you before you exhaust the benefit. That way, you can research providers with an open mind, and not a limited budget.
  4. Private personal funds – are used to pay for aging services programs when available. Although other programs may subsidize the out-of-pocket cost, paying for services is a requirement and the amount will be determined according to ability.
